Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDot Media & Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Tipper mobile application (the "App"). We are the data controller for this information. By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
We do not directly collect personal information that identifies you. The App relies on the trusted third-party services listed below, which collect limited data by default to provide analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and purchase functionality. Each processes data under its own privacy policy, linked further down.
Information Collected Through the App
You are not required to provide your name, email, or other directly identifying information to use the App's core features. The App and the services it uses collect:
- Usage & analytics data (via Google Firebase Analytics): app events and feature usage, session length, screen views, device model, operating system and version, language, app version, and approximate region derived from your IP address (not precise location).
- Crash & diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics): crash logs, stack traces, and device state at the time of a crash, used to diagnose and fix stability problems.
- Advertising data (via Google AdMob): a mobile advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA on iOS or the Android Advertising ID), ad interactions, and coarse, IP-derived location, used to serve and measure ads. These identifiers are treated as personal data in some regions even though they do not include your name.
- Purchase & subscription data: transaction and subscription status (such as the product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, and a pseudonymous identifier), billed by Apple or Google and managed through Adapty. We receive confirmation of transactions but never your full payment-card details.
How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App's features and performance
- Diagnose crashes and fix technical problems
- Display and measure advertising (personalized where permitted, otherwise non-personalized)
- Process and restore your purchases and manage subscriptions
- Understand aggregate usage and demographics
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent for personalized advertising and non-essential analytics (which you may withdraw at any time through the in-app consent settings or your device); our legitimate interests in securing and improving the App and in serving non-personalized ads; performance of a contract where we provide account or purchase features you have requested; and legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information by law.
Advertising & Your Choices
- iOS App Tracking Transparency. On Apple devices, we ask for your permission before using your advertising identifier to track you. You can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- EEA / UK consent. Where required, we present a Google-certified consent prompt before serving personalized ads. If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads.
- Reset or limit ad tracking. iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and Apple Advertising. Android: Settings > Google > Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization.
- Learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Service Providers & Sharing
We share information with the following service providers, who help us operate the App and each of whom handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — Usage analytics and crash reporting. Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob — Advertising and ad measurement. Privacy Policy.
- Adapty — In-app purchase and subscription management. Privacy Policy.
- Apple and Google process the payments themselves under their own terms.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, to enforce our terms, to protect rights, safety, and security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information for money.
International Data Transfers
The App is offered globally, and our providers (including Google) may process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
U.S. State Privacy Rights ("Do Not Sell or Share")
Sharing advertising identifiers with ad partners for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws. You can opt out of personalized advertising using the device and in-app controls described above, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required. California and other state residents have the rights to know, access, delete, and correct their information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Firebase Analytics data is kept for our configured retention window (generally up to 14 months), and crash data for a limited diagnostic period. We retain information longer where required by law.
Data Security
We and our providers use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your information, and to withdraw consent or opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond as required by applicable law. EEA and UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, which may be higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will reflect material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where required, by seeking your renewed consent.
